A SUPERFIT dentist conquered her maiden Ironman for a charity that has treated her dementia-suffering mum.

Belinda Vohra, from Coombe Dental Care, challenged herself to complete the Ironman 70.3 UK Exmoor Triathlon on Sunday.

After a 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike ride and half marathon, the Salisbury Tri Club (STC) member crossed the line in eight hours, 14 minutes and three seconds.

So far, she has raised £717 for Alzheimer’s Society.

“My mum has dementia and Alzheimer’s Society has been immensely helpful in supporting our family.

“I am seeing dementia more and more in the dental practice and how devastating it can be for families who have to deal with it.

“This charity needs support as we are all likely to need their help in the future.”
