ELLINGHAM and Ringwood cemented fourth place in Snows Hampshire One with a 41-12 triumph over Sandown and Shanklin Raymond Brown Memorial Ground on Saturday.
The hosts' three quarter, Josh Butcher, opened the scoring with a penalty goal after a period of sustained pressure.
This was followed by tries from number 8 Stuart Pearce, lock forward Tim Linford and Butcher, who also kicked a conversion to open up a 20-0 lead at the break.
Ellingham started the second half well with further tries from centre Callum Butler and fullback Dominic Pitt. Butcher added both conversions to open up a 34-0 lead.
However, the islanders then dominated the next 10 minutes - scoring two tries and a conversion to reduce the deficit to 34-12. Ellingham then retook a grip of the game and closed out an important bonus point win, with wing three quarter Chris Frost scoring a try in the dying moments that was converted by Butcher.
In Dorset and Wilts 2 South, Ellingham seconds went down 12-5 at Lytchett Minster.
Lytchett scored two tries and a conversion, but the Ellingham number 8 Ben Franklin scored a good individual try to secure a losing bonus point.
And in Dorset and Wilts 3 South, Ellingham's miserable run of form continued at home to Wimborne, being thrashed 22-0.
