CITY of Salisbury’s Aaron Wilson completed Tokyo marathon in 2hours 33min 47sec - his best ever run at the distance, writes John Ruskin.

After starting in 2012 with a sub-three hour run in Berlin, he decided he wanted to test himself against the highest level of competition around the globe.

Since then, he has single-mindedly put himself through the marathon mill at the sport’s biggest events in Boston, Chicago, New York and London before further enhancing his reputation on Sunday.

“Now I need some rest,” he said.
