PUPILS from Appleford School have competed in a five-day International U16 Netball Tournament in Paris, playing against teams from as far away as Australia.
The seven girls, who are from years 9, 10 and 11, qualified for the final cup tournament, beating some of the best teams in the world.
This was the first year that Appleford had taken part and they did amazingly well, finishing 8th out of 50 international teams.
Coaches Miss Gant and Miss Pullen said: “It doesn’t matter how big your school is or what age you are; if you have determination, passion and a strong sense of team work, you can achieve the best.”
