SALISBURY Tri Club athletes were in action over the weekend as Sandra Webster raced in the Race New Forest Bucklers Sprint distance triathlon, her first open-water race, finishing in a time of 1:50.

Phil Pettit and Chris Goodall took on the Boskman triathlon which was a 2.7 km swim 125km cycle through the New Forest, followed by a half marathon run.

Brian Elliott took part in the Challenge Monmouth Aquathlon. The race consisted of a 2km swim in the River Wye, up and downstream, then a 12.5km road run. Brian was 2nd in age group and finished in a time of 1:30.

Adam and Sam Cain raced in the Outlaw Holkham Half 70.3. Adam crossed the line in a stunning time of 5:35.

Emily Lawson took on the Edinburgh Ironman 70.3 and crossed the line in 6:22, she finished 13th in age group, 93rd female and 722 overall on this tough course.

Nigel Peterson travelled to Austria for his first full Ironman 140.6 event, he crossed the line in a fantastic time of 11:55.

Joanne Bailey and Ruth Thom raced at Ripon Triathlon which was a National Standard Distance Championships qualifier and GB Age Group qualifier for the ITU Age Group World Championships.

Joanne Bailey finished the Standard distance event, in 2:34, coming 2nd in her age group.

This result qualified her for the Age Group World championships in Rotterdam. Joanne now has to decide at which distance she will be competing wearing the GB kit.

Ruth Thom also had a great race on Saturday, crossing the line in 2:27, coming 16th in age group.
