THERE were some excellent results in the Frome Sprint, Weymouth and the New Forest for the Salisbury Tri Club.

There was a contingent at the New Forest races across all distances, and eight from the Intro-to-Tri programme racing at Frome, many of whom were racing for the first time.

In the Frome Triathlon, Giles Graves was first over the line for STC in 1:34. Then came George Littlewood in 1:44 and George Gray in 2:02. Ken Littlewood followed in 2:06, with Jackie Whitby not far behind in 2:09. Claire Russell finished in 2:26, with Larna Russell racing too.

David Hartley finished 19th overall at the Weymouth classic standard distance finishing in 2:23.

Ruth Thom was the first Lady in the Race New Forest Standard Distance race, coming home in a great time of 2:08. Stuart Holloway came eighth overall.

Michael Boardman finished in 2:15 and Belinda Vohra crossed the line in 2:54. Sandra Price came first in cat in the sprint distance race in 2:21. In the New Forest middle distance race, Alan Bayliss finished first for STC in 5:25, Kevin Richards was next in 5:34, 3rd in cat and 33rd overall.

Irfon Thomas completed his first middle distance race in 6:11, followed by Dudley Kent in 6:18. Jen Witt finished in 6:46 and Barry Davis 6:56.
