Ann lands bowls honours

ANN Hindley of Wilton Bowls Club has become the Salisbury and District Ladies Singles Champion to go one better than last year when she was runner-up. This year she bagged the title after beating Ann Humphries of Amesbury 21-10 in last weekend’s final.
In an intriguing turn of events, Ann then went on to partner Margaret Griffin, also of Wilton, in the ladies’ pairs final. Margaret had beaten Ann in last year’s singles final. Playing Beryl Smith and Trish Jarrett, of Great Bedwyn, Ann and Margaret were always in control and ran out winners 27- 15.
