SALISBURY RFC made it three wins on the trot as they maintained their unbeaten start to the season in Southern Counties with a rampant 52-0 victory over North Dorset.

Matt Pallas’ outfit got off to a flying start and, within 10 minutes, had scored two wellworked tries, one from James Kaminski and the other from Josh Green. Liam Gilbert converted the Kaminski try but failed with the other.

With the score at 12–0 it looked like another romp was on the cards but good forward play from North Dorset nearly led to a couple of tries in the first half for them, which might have changed the shape of the clash.

Just before half time, following a handbags moment, North Dorset lost concentration, which allowed Patrick Dickson to stroll home under the posts for a try easily converted by Gilbert.

An impressive half time score of 19-0 was obtained by the visitors but was marred by injury to Dominic Porter, who will be ruled out of action for a number of weeks.

Porter was replaced by Bobby Saunders and immediately after half time had an impact upon the game.

From a lineout close to the North Dorset line, Gilbert scored from a driving maul, superbly converting to make it 26-0. This was followed quickly by another run down the wing by Kaminski, leading to a cross field kick picked up by Saunders who scored close to the post, Gilbert made the score 33-0.

The Green and White forwards, led by successive penetrative runs from scrum half Dave Tonge, eventually led to another break out from the Salisbury half which resulted in a try from Iain Miller, converted by prolific Gilbert.

Salisbury turned their attention on retaining a clean sheet but also managed to extend their lead to 47-0.

In the final attack of the game, Green dropped onto the final try of the game to give Salisbury another emphatic win.

Salisbury are planning to visit Corsham in the Dorset and Wilts Cup on Saturday (3pm).
