HISTORY was made at Castle Road.
Newly-created Salisbury RFC's fourth team won their maiden clash in the league at home to Swanage and Wareham 24-3.
The game started slowly as the players found their feet, but after about 20
minutes, with no score, the team clicked.
Si Brown broke the deadlock by forcing his way over for a try and, shortly afterwards, winger Aaron Gilbert ran in a try at the corner.
Brown and Gilbert repeated their tries in the second half, two of which were converted and Swans' only score was a penalty.
They hope to continue their good run of form at Weymouth and Portland seconds on Saturday.
Meanwhile, after a fortnight's rest, the firsts, who had a training session with Downton FC last Tuesday, return to action in South West 1 (East) at Swindon on Saturday.
