SALISBURY Rugby Club made a positive start to their preparations for what will prove to be a demanding season in League South West 1 (East) with a 36-20 friendly victory over Frome.
Salisbury were able to call on a good number of new players, including home-grown colts Mike Patterson, Chris Patterson and David Tonge.
Luke Esnouf made a welcome return to Salibury’s front row and former South West and Dorchester player Nigel Thomas has much to contribute at scrum-half. Salisbury have much to be optimistic about ahead of the challenge posed by Oakmeadians in their opening league match on Saturday, September 5.
