SCORCHING performances were on show at St Joseph’s School track and field championships.
The Laverstock school held its most successful area athletics’ championships last month, with hosts of athletes recording personal bests.
Among those were double county champion Mary Reodique, who easily won the minor girls 200m. Mary then went on to run the lead off leg of the minor girls 4x100m relay, giving the team a head start they never lost.
A second county champion was Kieran Appleton who, in only his fourth race at the event, was victorious in the Minor Boys Hurdles.
Ed Nash was runner up in the minor boys 100m and then brought the 4x100m team home in third place.
Jo Oliver, from St Joseph’s, said: “All athletes are to be congratulated on the way they conducted themselves during the day, they are a credit to the school.”
