A SUPERB hat-trick from Robert Jones played a key role in Salisbury City’s under 11s’ 5- 1 triumph over Totton’s Pace Panthers.
The 14-man squad, now competing in Southampton’s Tyro League, kicked off their season on Sunday and made no mistake in adapting to a larger pitch, bigger goals and playing 9-a-side.
Jones’ treble and goals from Stu Cross and Josh Osman wrapped up a good opener for the mini Whites.
Manager Ed Searle said: “The lads took the new rules in their stride and performed magnificently.”
