IN-DEMAND Katy Cutler played a starring role as Exeter’s Water Polo team won through to the next stage of the national under-17s championships.
Katy, who swims with Salisbury Stingrays, was recruited to the Exeter team for the preliminary round of the nationals in Walsall.
As Exeter beat Caledonia 8-2, Katy got on the score sheet and in a tough match against Liverpool, last year’s runners-up and three-times winners, she was credited with two assists in a 4-5 defeat. The team had already qualified for the next phase after a 10-1 thrashing of Bristol Central.
Exeter finished second in their group.
If they qualify for the the finals, they will take place in Manchester on April 25 and 26.
