A TEAM from Grovely Riding Centre were successful at a national event in Warwickshire.
The Wilton-based group took part in the British Horse Society National Riding School Championships on Thursday.
The highlight came when Mirabel Green, riding Doyle, matched last year’s second place after she was pipped at the post in the over 13s. Sooty, who was last year’s champion and was ridden this year by Albert Wilde, attained the highest jumping score of the whole competition. The group were very strong in the jumping phase, each producing very polished and professional rounds. In the under 13s, Albert Wilde, on Sooty, came ninth, and Georgie Madzarevic and her horse, Bailey, ended in seventh position. Lilly King and Marco got 12th in the over 13s’ section.
Meanwhile, in the 18 years and over category, Lauren Safe and Brodie were eighth and Harriet Turner and Buzz rounded off the day 13th.
