LATE drama in the Hampshire Cup final saw Salisbury Hockey Club Under-14s girls came through a nerve-jangling penalty flick shoot-out to be crowned winners.
The Bank Holiday Monday decider had to be settled in a cruel shoot-off with Yateley after the match had finished 1-1 in normal time, Charlotte Quantick bagging Salisbury’s goal. Salisbury’s five volunteers Polly Campbell, Hattie Caswell, Katy Cutler, captain Izzy Viant and Alex Dunlop stepped up to the task from the spot. But keeper Saskia Lambert was the hero – with the score at 5-4 she bravely parried the last shot to secure cup glory.
