EVERYONE at Sarum Academy were full of delight after partnership club AFC Bournemouth secured promotion to the promised land of the Premier League.
The Bemerton Heath-based academy's Football Elite Programme (FEP) is run by Cherries' coaches, who had a fruitful season by winning the Championship.
Curriculum team leader for PE, Mark Haysom, said: "We are really delighted for the club and excited to be in partnership with a Premiership team."
Year 13 student James Clark, who has been on the FEP for two years said: “The programme has been great for developing our skills and has really brought us together as a team."
"I’m looking forward to cheering on Bournemouth as they play in the Premiership and I think it’s a great opportunity for pupils coming onto the programme at Sarum Academy to work with a club at this level."
