TORRENTIAL rain didn't dampen tennis players' spirits in the Wiltshire LTA Junior County Championships at Salisbury Tennis Club.
Amelia Bissett, who plays at TeamBath and is ranked number eight in the country in her age group, won both the 12 and under and 14 and under girls' events.
She also teamed up with Jessica Doerr from Next Generation Swindon to win the 14 and under girls' doubles to complete a hat trick of wins.
Salisbury's George Nixon and parter Ross Gilbert clinched the under 18s' boys doubles with victory over Joseph Blakeley and Taylan Ozdemir.
Wiltshire Tennis chairman Roger Henry said: “There were many high quality finals played in a great spirit and based on the standards shown in all age groups, the future of
Wiltshire tennis is in good shape."
