TEENAGER Oni Taiwo shined at the English National 2015 ASA Summer Championships after chalking up a gold and silver medal.

The 13-year-old was one of four Salisbury Stingrays' swimmers to post an impressive set of results at Ponds Forge, Sheffield.

She tore apart her previous best swim of 27.21 seconds to clinch gold in the 50m freestyle and share second place in the 100m freestyle.

Sidney Fenwick, 15, competing in his first national gala, took fifth place in the 50m breaststroke and Lily Battersby finished 16th in the same event.

Eldest member of the group at 17 years old, Luke Demetri finished 13th in the 50m breaststroke and seventh in the 100m breaststroke, where he recorded a new personal best.

Competition was high in the 200m breaststroke which saw Demetri finish in 20th place.

Head coach Mark Corben said: "I'm extremely proud of the swimmers’ achievements, hard work, dedication and commitment.
