A SWIMMER at Salisbury Stingrays has been selected to be an official at the Youth Sport Trust National Talent Camp (NTC).
Hazel Cutler is one of 15 young swimming officials to gain a place in the camp, which is for the most talented young athletes, coaches and officials from across England.
Last year’s National Talent Camp saw 200 coaches, 100 athletes and 50 officials participate in a multi-sport, multi-role, three dimensional camp to increase individual aspiration and ambition while developing empathy.
This year’s event takes place from December 18 to 21, and will bring together 350 of the country’s most talented young sports people.
Developed and delivered by the Youth Sport Trust, hosted by Loughborough University and funded by Sport England, the camp is multi-disciplinary with athletes, coaches and officials sharing the experience and developing in the same environment.
It will be followed by a 12-month development programme delivered by the ASA.
Hazel was nominated by Wiltshire official Paul Robbins.
