RUNNERS at Leehurst Swan School made their mark for the South West at a nationwide event.
Eight pupils competed against the top ten runners from the six other regions in England and Wales at the ISA National Cross Country Championships, Coventry.
All the school's runners finished in the top 20, the best ever result for the Campbell Road school.
Imogen Tanner, from Year 7, was the star performer, finishing in seventh place.
Registrar Beverley Smith said: "All the staff here at Leehurst Swan School are immensely proud of all our runners. Well done Edward Timperley, Charlie Webster, Rosemary Cox, Imogen Tanner, Lizzie Norton, Alfie Burleigh, Hugh Bate and Hannah Norton."
