STUDENTS raced for gold at The Level 2 School Games Disability Athletics competition at Tidworth Oval.

Athletes with different disabilities took part in four events - 60m, 300m, Vortex throw and standing long jump.

For each event, points were awarded depending on where they came.

Avon Valley College's Bethany Haggath won the girls' section with St Edmund's Talluliagh-Nichoolsling in second and Anna Coulson, from Kingdown, in third.

The boys' section was won by Avon Valley College's Kai Halfon, while Kingdown's Kurtis Tryhorn and Ben Hill came second and third, respectively.

Those top six have qualified for the Level 3 final on Wednesday, July 6.
