SALISBURY youngsters Tom Stagg, Harry Moule and Max Wrixon helped Wiltshire Under-16s clinch the South West Counties Championship in Honiton, Devon.

Stagg, a member of Salisbury and South Wilts, while Moule and Wrixon play for Tidworth Garrison Club, were above par last week at the Honiton tournament.

And Stagg claimed individual success in the boys’ category, but narrowly missed out on the title.

After finishing level with Wiltshire teammate James Cooper and Harrison King from Devon, he eventually finished third.

In what was a non-stop half-term, for Stagg, he also played competed in the Wiltshire County Boys Championship at Kingsdown, Bath where he came fifth. He was the highest-placed under 16.

His Stagg’s next tournament is the South West Under 18s’ championships in July, which are taking place in Bristol.
