CLARENDON Juniors Under 12s welcomed American touring team The Beekman Crew on Friday for an international friendly played at their Winterslow Barry's Fields home.
The Beekman Crew, who are based in New York and play in the New York Club Soccer League, made the visit as part of a pre-season tour which included visits to Dublin London, Windsor and Oxford.
The game was a well-contested affair with both sides working tirelessly in the summer sun but neither team could find a break through in a goalless first half.
Playing their first game of pre-season, Juniors tired as the game wore on with the visitors finally breaking the deadlock with nine minutes to go.
As Juniors pushed forward looking to get back in the game, they were undone by two further goals and lost 3-0.
Both sets of players and parents were then treated to a barbecue before the visitors headed off to explore Salisbury and Stonehenge.
