A FEAST of football was enjoyed by youngsters at the Level 2 school games festival at Avon Valley College (AVC).

The festival was split into large schools and small schools.

Year 10 Students from AVC and students from Steve Claridge Football Foundation officiated the five pitches.

The students took on the different roles of being a referee, linesman and scorer.

Large Schools was split into two pools with the winner of each pool making it to the final, Clarendon Juniors came out on top and will now go on to the Level 3 final.

In the smaller schools tournament, Woodborough A won on penalties against Woodford Valley and will go on to the Level 3 final.

Organiser Collette Harries said: "The students did a fantastic job and kept the festival on time even when some matches went to penalties."

COMING back from 2-0 down, Alderbury Under 16s turned the cup game around against so far unbeaten Larkhall.

The long trip to Bath was worth it as the green army ran out 4-3 winners in the end. A brace each from Harry Schneider and Ryan Payne saw them through to the next round of the Mid Wilts League Cup.
