FIVE-STAR Alderbury under 15s' girls thrashed New Milton 5-0 away in the Winchester League.

Goals from Imogen Brady, Isabelle Hiles and an own goal sent them 3-0 up at the break.

The second half saw an impressive defensive display superbly marshalled by Eloise McDonald to keep New Milton at bay and another from Hiles and a fifth from Rachel Holland wrapped up the win.

Manager Darren Whettleton said: "This was an impressive team display that has shown how much the girls have progressed in the past few weeks.

"We are targeting top spot in this division and have made a great start."

Elsewhere, the boys' under 15s kept their unbeaten streak intact after romping to a 7-1 win over Lyndhurst.

A hat-trick from Tom Beckles, two from Chris Penny and one apiece for Barney Duffy and Harry Cobern secured a resounding win.
