SALISBURY youngster Rebecca Dugwell was Arsenal's mascot against Swansea.

The nine-year-old was chosen at random from tens of thousands of Junior Gunners at the Liberty Stadium last weekend.

She met Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger and met the entire squad including favourite player Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. His brother, Christian, is no stranger to the city, having had a brief loan spell with the Whites from parent club Pompey in August.

Rebecca then led the team onto the pitch, before watching Arsenal’s 4-0 Premier League victory over the rock-bottom hosts with her family.

Rebecca described the day as “amazing, exciting and unforgettable".

Rebecca’s father, James, said: “Our whole family had an amazing day and we had fantastic seats behind the goal. She said to me, ‘going out onto the pitch was gobsmacking!’ We are already looking forward to taking them to another game and our girls have never seen Arsenal lose!”
