Anthony Bennett
ANTHONY Bennett was awarded Sportscar Driver of the Year 2016 at the British Automobile Racing Club South East (BARC SE) awards evening held on Saturday night.
The award comes after a strong season for the Salisbury-based Caterham R300 racer who clocked up 20 podiums including seven outright wins during the year.
He is pictured with race mechanic Matt Ellis who this time was doing the driving as Bennett had to be driven to the awards following some recent surgery.
The award-winner hopes to be back on the grid in March to defend his title.
