Jodie Foster's work is being celebrated by the Golden Globes
Jodie Foster is adding a new trophy to her collection - a lifetime achievement honour at the Golden Globes.
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced that Jodie will receive the group's Cecil B DeMille Award at the 70th annual Globes ceremony on January 13.
The 49-year-old Jodie is a two-time Globes and Academy Award winner. She was honoured with leading actress trophies at both ceremonies for 1988's The Accused and 1991's The Silence Of The Lambs.
DeMille Award winners are chosen by the board of directors for the foreign press group. It includes about 90 reporters who cover Hollywood for overseas outlets.
The DeMille Award went to Morgan Freeman earlier this year. Past winners include Robert De Niro, Steven Spielberg and Barbra Streisand.
