Channel 5 axes The Bachelor in UK

Spencer Matthews took part in The Bachelor, which is being axed
The Bachelor has been dumped by UK TV bosses.
The dating reality show - which featured rugby player Gavin Henson and Made In Chelsea star Spencer Matthews - is reportedly being dropped by Channel 5 after just two series.
Welsh rugby hunk Gavin's appearance on the show in 2011 attracted impressive viewing figures of 1.6 million, The Sun reports, but last year's series featuring Spencer proved to be a ratings flop.
The Bachelor - a huge hit in the US which has also spawned spin-off show The Bachelorette - features one eligible man dating a house full of single women all at the same time. Each week he must choose which girls to save by giving them a red rose, until finally choosing one woman to date. In the US version of the show, the series finale involves a proposal, and there have been several Bachelor weddings.
But both Gavin and Spencer's romances were short lived. Gavin - formerly engaged to Welsh singer Charlotte Church - split from Carianne after just four months, while Spence and Khloe didn't even bother to continue seeing each other after filming for the series ended.
The BBC brought the show to the UK ten years ago, and it aired on BBC Three for three series before being dropped.
