Gael Garcia Bernal hopes to work with Diego Luna again soon
Gael Garcia Bernal has expressed his wish to work with his friend and frequent co-star Diego Luna again.
Gael, star of the upcoming Chilean film No, which has been nominated for an Academy Award, said he'll try and make another collaboration happen: "Let's see the story, let's see who the director is, because Diego's doing lots of projects and I'm doing a lot of things as well. So, we need to find the time and say 'C'mon man!'."
The two Mexican actors, who have worked together in films such as Y Tu Mama Tambien and Rudo Y Cursi, have recently partnered with IM Global to open a company called Mundial: "What we're going to end up doing is the sales of 10 Latin American films a year, something like that. Getting them to be seen all over the world. That is something that circumstance led us to. We're very happy that it's happening."
Theirs is a lifelong friendship and Gael recalls its origin: "We've known each other since he was born, because actually I'm a little bit older than him. So, when he was born we met. And we're still friends now."
:: No will be released in cinemas on February 8.
