Will Smith is in talks to join the cast of heist thriller Focus.
But as the Men In Black star went into discussions about playing the lead part, it was revealed that Twilight actress Kristen Stewart had dropped out of the film, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Will, 44, would be replacing original leading man Ben Affleck, who left the project at the end of last year because of scheduling conflicts.
Focus is about a con man who gets into a relationship with a novice, but is later thrown off his game when the ex flame turns up at an elaborate heist in Buenos Aires.
It was originally written by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa who wanted to reunite Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone from Crazy, Stupid Love, which they directed .
But when both were unavailable to take part, they turned to Oscar winner Ben and Kristen.
If Will does join the cast he'd be back in business with Warners, who have been trying to get him back on board since I am Legend in 2007.
Will can be seen later this year in sci-fi adventure After Earth and is currently filming fantasy movie Winter's Tale.
Kristen is currently signed up to comedy The Big Shoe as well as Snow White And The Huntsman 2.
