Stone is best actress for bucks

Salisbury Journal: Emma Stone makes a good return on studios' investment Emma Stone makes a good return on studios' investment

Emma Stone has topped the Forbes list of best actors for the buck.

The list names actors who earn studios the most return on their investment and this year it is topped by three women - Emma, Mila Kunis and Jennifer Lawrence.

Forbes explains that actresses are almost always paid worse than male actors and that as younger stars can't command as high fees as those with more experience, they are often good investments to cast.

For every dollar that studios spent on employing Emma, the Amazing Spider-Man star made them 80.70 dollars in return.

Mila came in second, making 68.70 dollars for every one she was paid, and Jennifer placed third, earning 68.60 for each dollar she made herself.

Dwayne Johnson was the top male actor to be named on the Forbes list, coming in sixth place where he earned 31.10 dollars return on each dollar he was paid.

Emma returns to our screens in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in April 2014.
