A hearing has been scheduled on a motion by Justin Bieber's lawyers to prevent news organisations from obtaining unreleased video of the Canadian pop singer after his arrest last month in South Florida.

The hearing is for next week before a Miami-Dade County judge.

The 19-year-old pop singer's lawyers said in the motion they want more time to review the video showing him in custody.

Media lawyers say there is no basis under Florida public records laws to keep the video private.

A March 3 trial date has been set for Justin on misdemeanour charges of driving under the influence, resisting arrest and driving with an invalid license. He has pleaded not guilty.

Police say Justin was arrested after an illegal street drag race in Miami Beach.
