Chris Brown's jail message of love

Salisbury Journal: Chris Brown is due to go on trial later this month Chris Brown is due to go on trial later this month

Chris Brown has sent his girlfriend a message of love from jail.

The RnB star left the message on model Karrueche Tran's phone, and she posted it on Instagram.

The Forever singer asked her to pass on a message to thank fans for supporting his new video, Loyal.

"I'm calling all my fans, letting ya'll know I love ya'll. Thank ya'll for all the support," he said. "Thank you for everything. The video just came out so I hope ya'll enjoyed that."

Brown, who is due to go on trial on April 17 in Washington on an assault charge, ended the call saying: "And most importantly, K, Karrueche, I love you."

Brown and his bodyguard were arrested in Washington in October. Both are accused of punching a man.

At the time the Grammy winner was arrested, he was on probation in California for a 2009 attack on his then girlfriend Rihanna.

After his arrest, a judge ordered Brown to receive anger management and other treatment. The judge jailed Brown in March after he was dismissed from the treatment facility.

Meanwhile, Brown's attorney has asked a judge to block an order that would transfer the jailed singer from Los Angeles to Washington for his upcoming misdemeanour assault trial.

The Grammy-winning singer's lawyer Mark Geragos filed a motion asking a judge to release Brown to his custody just before the trial date.

His motion states that Brown would lose the ability to confer with Geragos and prepare for the trial if he is transferred by marshals.
