Comedian and Europhile Eddie Izzard is to perform his latest comedy show in three different languages to mark the 70th anniversary of D-Day.

He will perform his Force Majeure shows in just three hours at Caen in Normandy, France, on June 6, donating income to charity.

The multi-lingual comic will give his first show in German, followed by another in Frenc,h and he will finish by performing it in English.

Announcing the show, a statement said it was "a tribute to those who fought for democracy and freedom in World War Two and since World War Two".
