Grace Of Monaco star Nicole Kidman has accepted an award with a video message - wearing her pyjamas.
The actress' latest film has been panned by critics and she is reported to have pulled out of promotional duties on the movie after becoming unwell.
The star said that she did not feel that she deserved the Outstanding Contribution gong "right now".
"I'm sitting here in bed in Nashville, Tennessee, wishing I was there," she told the Glamour Women Of The Year Awards.
Nicole, whose biopic did not impress after opening at the high-profile Cannes Film Festival, added: "I'm here in my pyjamas, silk pyjamas, but they are pyjamas."
She added: "I really don't feel like I deserve it right now so it's probably the nicest time to get something like this."
She said women should support other women and that she accepted the award with "an enormous amount of humility and an enormous amount of gratitude".
The actress praised Helen Mirren, who was also receiving an award, saying that she would be "exuding sexiness and confidence".
Host Graham Norton joked that Nicole looked very unwell, saying that she should stay in bed.
