Brian McFadden has admitted he is trying to get in shape ahead of his new TV presenting job.
The former Westlife star is set to front new dating show Stand By Your Man alongside up-and-coming presenter Laura Jackson, and wants to be in peak condition as he still feels uncomfortable when the spotlight is on him.
Talking about the camera adding a few pounds, Brian said: "It does, and especially now there's HD (high definition)."
The Irish star, who has been doing daily workouts, added: "I don't go to a gym but I do go to the park every morning, and do a lot of toning and conditioning."
Brian, 34, is "over the moon" to be hosting the show, which sees four lads compete to win a date with one of 40 single girls from the studio audience.
"Dating should be a fun and exciting experience and I'm looking forward to creating some compatible matches, fingers crossed!" he said.
The star has experienced his fair share of relationship ups and downs.
Following his split with Kerry Katona in 2004, he dated Australian singer Delta Goodrem. The pair got engaged in 2007 but split in 2011. However, he's been happily married to Irish DJ and reality star Vogue Williams since 2012.
"We have a lot of fun," he said. "To be able to spend every day of your life with your best friend is just great. We're not the kind of couple who go out on boys' and girls' nights. We like to do everything together and because we don't have that many friends in London, it's kind of good having each other."
Brian has two daughters with ex-wife Kerry and revealed he would like to add to his brood one day: " We talk about it but not at the moment, because we've got our careers."
:: Stand By Your Man begins on Channel 5 on Friday, June 13.
