Simon Cowell has apparently splashed out on a New York apartment so his girlfriend Lauren Silverman can be close to her eldest son.
The TV mogul, dad to four-month-old Eric with Lauren, has bought a property on Manhattan's affluent Upper East Side, according to The New York Post's Page Six.
The plush new pad is apparently just a few blocks from where Lauren's seven-year-old son Adam lives with her ex-husband Andrew Silverman.
A source told the Daily Mirror: "Lauren wanted to be near her eldest son to be able to see him whenever she can.
"Although things didn't work out between her and Andrew she is a devoted mother and does whatever she can to be near Adam."
The Big Apple property, estimated to have cost around £6 million, is the latest home in Simon's empire - the X Factor boss already owns several properties, including houses in Los Angeles, Barbados and London.
The insider added that Simon and Lauren had been looking for a home in Manhattan for some time and fell in love with the apartment.
"It is very modern which is the style Simon likes," added the source.
