The cast of Star Wars: Episode VII haven't even finished making the movie and they have already been given their own Lego figures.

Lego have recreated the first picture released of director JJ Abram and stars Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill reading through the script in rehearsals.

Newcomer Daisy Ridley tweeted: "OH MY GAAAAAD WE'RE LEGO!!!!!!! So exciting!!!"

Fellow Brit John Boyega wrote: "Really can't believe I'm going to be a Lego. Just insane."

Original cast members Harrison (Han Solo), Carrie (Princess Leia), and Mark (Luke Skywalker) are returning for the new instalment, along with Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) and Kenny Baker (R2-D2) in the new film.

The Lego picture, posted on Twitter, shows Harrison holding a blaster, Mark holding a lightsaber and Peter and Anthony in costume as Chewbacca and C-3PO.

New cast members Adam Driver and Andy Serkis can also be seen in the picture, which shows the cast sitting on couches and chairs, around a table of water bottles and coffee mugs.
