Jeremy Piven has joked about how he nearly killed Tony Romo.
The Entourage actor watched his latest film The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard with the American football quarterback, who used to go out with Jessica Simpson, and said he nearly choked after hearing one of the film's rudest jokes.
"He was eating chips and dip and he was laughing so hard, he started choking," Jeremy said.
He continued: "I thought I'd killed Tony Romo. Here it would be like killing David Beckham or Pele, it was a scary moment."
But Jeremy defended the film's humour, which has come under criticism from certain camps.
"I really thought it was all very funny, I was not offended," he said earnestly.
"Growing up we had this great saying in my family which was, 'You can say whatever you want as long as it's funny' and I think the humour here is in the spirit of the movie."
:: The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard is released in cinemas on Friday.
