Stars get feet printed for charity

JLS, Mel C, Tamsin Outhwaite, Vic Reeves, Nancy Sorrell and Stephen Merchant have put their feet in it for charity.

They are among celebrities, also including Stephanie Beecham and Sophie Ellis-Bextor, who have added their footprints to an online gallery to encourage people to print their own soles and learn about the New For Old campaign in aid of Tommy's, which works to save babies' lives.

The campaign urges people to drop off old shoes they no longer want at Brantano stores throughout the country.

For each pair of old shoes, Brantano will donate 10p to the charity.

For every pair of shoes, donors will also receive a £10 off voucher when they spend £50 or more. The old shoes collected go to help African communities.

Shooting Stars presenter Vic Reeves and wife Nancy Sorrell allowed their three-year-old twin daughters Lizzie and Nelly to make their own footprints.

Nancy said: "I had no hesitation in getting Lizzie and Nelly involved in the campaign. They love getting dirty. As soon as I mentioned paint and feet, that was it."

The initiative was set up in the UK in 2008 and has to date raised £43,146 for Tommy's.
