Jennifer Lopez has said she's better at playing a movie mum since having her twins.
The actress and singer - who has played a mother in films such as An Unfinished Life and My Family - revealed it's easier to channel her maternal instincts on the silver screen now she has twins Max and Emme, who she welcomed in February 2008.
The star, who plays a woman who is desperate for a baby in upcoming romcom The Back-Up Plan, told Extra: "I've played a mom, and I've had kids in movies before, but now you understand it in a different way."
She added: "The trick to acting is actually not to act. That's the trick, now I don't have to act, now I can just be, and it makes it better."
J-Lo, 40 - who wed husband Marc Anthony five years ago - said becoming a mum has made her a "different person".
"It just affects the way you think and the way you feel and the way you view things," she said.
