Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt enjoyed a break from looking after their brood when they visited an art exhibition in Los Angeles.

The couple - who have six children - had a private viewing of the Museum Of Contemporary Art's 30th anniversary exhibition, Usmagazine.com reports.

Angelina, 34, wore a typically classic strapless black gown by Armani, while 45-year-old Brad looked dapper in a black suit and tie.

After the viewing, the pair joined a host of stars at a dinner celebrating the museum's anniversary.

Guests included Eva Mendes, Jessica Alba, Kate Beckinsale, Kate Bosworth, Pierce Brosnan, Ciara and Christina Ricci.

Gwen Stefani was spotted chatting to Guy Ritchie at the event, while Kate Beckinsale and Shirley Manson chatted over dinner.

Peaches Geldof attended the after party with a mystery male friend.
