Jessica Simpson says she's under no pressure to lose weight Jessica Simpson says she's under no pressure to lose weight

Jessica Simpson has insisted she is not feeling under pressure to shift her baby weight, despite being the new face of Weight Watchers.

The 31-year-old singer signed up to be the official US ambassador of the company shortly after the birth of daughter Maxwell Drew in May.

Jessica tweeted: "Just so everyone knows...Weight Watchers hasn't put ANY pressure on me! I'm trying to be as healthy as I can be for myself and I feel great!"

The reality TV star was snapped attending the private gym of celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak, earlier this month, whose former celebrity clients are said to include Halle Berry and Hilary Duff.

Weight Watchers said when the signed her up: "We're thrilled that Jessica Simpson has chosen to join Weight Watchers to adopt a healthier lifestyle and inspire others to do the same. Her talent, resilience and positive outlook already make her a great role model, and by deciding to trade in yo-yo dieting for a healthier lifestyle, we know she will inspire many women to join her."

Jessica said: "I think anybody who's gone through a pregnancy, after they have the baby, it's like, 'I need to do something about this'. There's not a goal weight - I just want to feel normal."

The singer began dating American football player Eric Johnson, 32, in May 2010 and they announced their engagement in November that year. It is thought the couple postponed their nuptials after Jessica fell pregnant.
