Sharon Osbourne has told fans that she wants her X Factor job back.

The star left the hit TV show in 2007 after three years, but she has now taken to Twitter to suggest her supporters ask the show's boss Simon Cowell to give her back her slot on the judging panel.

She tweeted: "To everyone who tweeted about @TheXFactor tonight, thank you - I miss you too! Tell Simon to take me back for season 10. #XFactor."

Sharon, 59, seems to have changed her tune since earlier this year when she hinted that she wouldn't want to return to the programme because singing shows were too dull for her.

She said: "A singing show I couldn't do again. It's too boring."

The star, wife of rocker Ozzy Osbourne, recently quit US show America's Got Talent in a dispute with network NBC over her son Jack.

The ninth series of The X Factor - which sees Nicole Scherzinger, Tulisa Contostavlos, Louis Walsh and Gary Barlow on the judging panel - started at the weekend.
