Clooney PR denies split with Stacy

George Clooney's spokesman has denied reports that the Hollywood heartthrob and his wrestler girlfriend Stacy Keibler have called it a day.

The Sun said that the couple, who spent the summer together at the actor's home in Lake Como, Italy, were expected to release a statement saying that their relationship had ended amicably.

It quoted a friend of 32-year-old Stacy's as saying: "She said George wants to be on his own again and has no intention of getting married.

"Stacy hoped they would be together long-term.

"It was a big breakthrough to spend time with his parents. But over the last few weeks George has pulled away from her."

But the Mail Online quoted 51-year-old George's PR representative Stan Rosenfield as saying that the story was "not true" and "total fabrication".

The Descendants star's ex-girlfriends have included model and radio DJ Lisa Snowdon and Italian actress Elisabetta Canalis.
