Tori Spelling has undergone emergency surgery following complications after the birth of her fourth child.

The former Beverly Hills 90210 actress had son Finn Davey on August 30 via caesarean section, but was taken back into hospital at the weekend, reported People.

Her spokesman said: "Tori underwent emergency surgery over the weekend due to complications from her c-section."

The representative said the 39-year-old is still in hospital and that she is "resting comfortably".

The baby is the fourth child for Tori and her actor husband Dean McDermott. They are also parents to son Liam, five, and daughters Stella, four, and Hattie, who is 10 months.

Dean, 44, also has a teenage son from a previous marriage.

The couple and their children can be seen on their Oxygen reality show, Tori And Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood.
