Danny DeVito has directed several films
Danny DeVito is to sit in the director's chair for indie comedy Honeymoon With Dad.
The Lorax and Batman Returns star, who is currently on a break between seasons of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, is apparently set to direct the romantic drama, which has been written by Scott Atkinson and Tegan West, reported Variety.
The film follows an accountant, left jilted at the altar, who has to spend his honeymoon with his estranged "larger-than-life" father, which Danny is also tipped to play.
Danny, who has separated from his wife Rhea Perlman after 30 years of marriage, is also a well-known director.
The 67-year-old started his career as a director with 1987 comedy Throw Momma From The Train, in which he also starred opposite Billy Crystal, and has also taken control of The War Of The Roses, Hoffa, Matilda, Death To Smoochy and Duplex.
He is completing post-production on indie thriller St Sebastian, which stars Prison Break's William Fichtner and Fringe's Lance Reddick.
