Great Britain's Sarah Storey celebrates after winning the women's individual C 4-5 Road Race at Brands Hatch, Kent
Cyclist Sarah Storey has cemented herself in the Paralympic hall of fame as she equalled Tanni Grey-Thomson's haul of 11 gold medals.
Storey won her fourth gold of London 2012 in a sensational road race at Brand's Hatch and was so quick she caught the male race - which had set off earlier.
The swimmer turned-cyclist, 34, now joins Baroness Grey-Thompson on 11 gold medals to become one of the most decorated British Paralympians in history, alongside swimmer Dave Roberts.
Speaking after the race, the Manchester-based cyclist said: "I can't believe I pulled it off today. I'm just so chuffed, it was amazing."
She hailed the fans who lined the track, adding: "I wanted to say thank you to the crowds but had to keep my head down. I just can't get over it."
Storey won five Paralympic golds in swimming - before transferring to the track following an ear infection in 2005 - and now has six in cycling.
Her incredible career spans 20 years and six Games, since making her debut in Barcelona - aged just 14.
Speaking before her latest gold, Baroness Grey-Thompson praised Storey's versatility and dedication to her second sport.
"She's been such an amazing athlete for years," she said. "It's good for her and for cycling that she's going well. With two track, two road, it's a pretty tough schedule."
Storey becomes the first Paralympian to reach the magic four gold mark, but could soon be followed by David Weir, who already has two in the bag and is strong favourite to make it a clean sweep. He lines up on Thursday night in the 800m final at the Olympic Stadium having breezed through his heat in the morning.
