Jacko fans offered kayak karaoke
Michael Jackson fans can paddle down the River Thames to the sounds of the King of Pop with London's latest tourist attraction.
Kayaking London says it is giving fans of the late music star the chance to sing along to his most famous hits with its new service which includes a "world first" in-kayak karaoke system.
The canoe trips will travel along the Thames from Cremorne Gardens in Chelsea to Fulham FC's home ground Craven Cottage, where the kayakers will see the infamous statue of the Billie Jean singer before turning back.
Kayaking London, which offers dozens of canoe trips along the capital's famous river, describes its latest attraction as an "experience that people will never, ever forget".
It is being offered to celebrate the Cirque du Soleil's Michael Jackson's Immortal World Tour, which arrived at London's 02 Arena on Friday night.
Gavin McEachran, a volunteer at Kayaking London, said: "The kayaks will have speakers inside playing Michael Jackson music and a karaoke system.
"It's chance to do a bit of hero worshipping at the statue and listen to his music at the same time."
Organisers say no previous kayaking experience is required but anyone wishing to take part should be water-confident and able to swim 10 metres for safety reasons.
Mr McEachran was unable to give details of prices for the new attraction.
